25 Feb 2008 -- Geoff in London asks:

I watched the race with interest on the weekend. What actually caused the retirement from the feature race? What damage did Team New Zealand hitting you do to the car?

Editor's Note:

After such an eventful weekend we will be sitting down with Les and the team to go through all the happenings! As soon as this is completed Les will post his reply along with a full race report

17 Dec 2007 -- Eric in London asks:

I am a fan of Champcar so was keen to see how David Garza went in the A1 GP race in China. How did he get on?

Les Replies:

David had a Solid Race in Zhuhai. He is going to race in New Zealand where we will hope to see him improving on a steep learning curve as he comes to grips with the machinery. He seems keen to learn and to work hard so that is promising in itself.

05 Dec 2007 -- Geoff in London asks:

I saw your answer on fuel from a week ago. How much fuel do you run in the car in qualifying? Do you have to qualify with race load fuel levels or can you run on fumes.

Les Replies:

You can fuel as you like. The lighter the better so an out lap, a flying lap and an in lap is all you need. Again margin for error is where you take your risks. It's pretty embarrassing if you can't get back to the pits after your lap!

02 Dec 2007 -- Andy in Southampton asks:

Hi Les, do you think that the Team Mexico car has the pace to be competitive in this years A1 GP series?

Les Replies:

Without doubt. We have had some very good times in practice and the 2 fourth place finishes we achieved in Brno show that the car has the pace. The challenge now is to balance the car's setup with the driver to ensure that the results start coming.

28 Nov 2007 -- John in Sunderland Asks:

I notice that there are no refueling pit stops in A1GP. Why is this?

Les Replies:

A1GP run a "fueled to finish" system. While it eliminates the expense and danger of midrace refueling it presents a challenge when it comes to race strategy. One of my jobs is to work out the exact amount of fuel needed to finish the race without carrying excess ballast around. Now you can take a punt on this and cut it extremely fine on the basis that any safety car laps will provide the margin of error you might need. A risky strategy if the race runs smoothly though, it can leave you with no option but to have the driver back off to conserve fuel to ensure a finish.

11 Nov 2007 -- Nigel in Upton-Upon-Severn asks:

I notice that Team Mexico currently have 17 points in the A1GP standings. With 8 points each for your two fourth place finishes where did the extra point come from?

Les Replies:

An easy one. 1 point is awarded to the team that secures the fastest lap in each of the races. Salvador Durán showed off the cars excellent race pace in Zandvoort by securing the fastest lap in the feature race.
